Swaps and Upcycle

Eeepp!

Short blog today, been a bit naughty again and skipped the extra shift at work, I know, I know but I have just been so busy, for what seems like weeks, that I took a bit of a day to myself.

Little bit of a long lie then off to the horses who inhaled their dinner and looked quite happy despite the horrible rain.  Current plan is to bring them in on Friday night and let them dry out before creaming their legs, anti mud fever details on Saturday, and the much promised tidy up.

Went off them on a magic mystery tour to near Huntley Equitation as was, so sad now that it has shut down only to hear that Hilltop has too, sad reflection of the horsey world we now live in, 10K for rates and another for insurance, 20K in debt and no one has fed or gotten on a horse yet.  No wonder welfare issues are becoming more of a problem, there is no where for anyone to learn!

Any, met a lovely lady called Jill who took my little dressage saddle in a direct swap from some new springer stirrups, woop woop and I also picked up hi viz hat band, breastplate and a full set of HKM boots, add this to my previous 5 point breastplate and we are so ready to go eventing!  Promise promise, pics.

Home and made JO's cauliflower Kerala curry, yum, and plenty of portions for the freezer.  Really need to do a stock take as I seem to be making loads!

Anyway, just a check in tonight, no war and peace.  Seems DC and I both want the same thing, the problem is both of us reducing ego and stubbornness to get there.  We shall see.

Night,
JC
